Is my car a lemon?

There’s a big difference between calling your car a lemon and it actually exhibiting all the qualities necessary to fall under the legal category of "lemon." These qualities vary by state, but typically include any car that’s had to be repeatedly returned to the dealer for the same repair. It also has to have substantial impact to your car's safety, use, and value.

If the defect is a life or death safety issue (such as bad brakes, or an engine that suddenly dies in traffic) the car dealer is given a maximum of 2 chances to fix the problem, or give you a complete refund or replacement. This is your guarantee by law.

If you think your car may be a lemon, contact your local dealership and make an appointment with their service department today.
