My windshield is chipped. Can I fix it?

Chipped windshields are easy to fix, and it's important to take care of them right away to prevent development of a pronounced crack. All you’ll need is a windshield repair kit and about 30 minutes of your time.

• Step 1: Clean the damaged area by using a razor blade to pick out any loose bits of glass.
• Step 2: Attach the suction cup tool. Windshield repair kits come with a suction tool that effectively draws out any small pockets of air.
• Step 3: Apply resin. Your suction tool will come attached to a plunger that will allow the application of repair resin to the damaged section of your windshield.
• Step 4: Remove the suction tool after allowing the resin to soak in, and place a strip of supplied finishing film over the repaired area. Use your razor blade to smooth out the resin. Once you’ve given the resin adequate time to dry (10-15 minutes) you can remove the finishing film.
