Should I brush my baby's teeth?

Brushing your baby’s teeth is an important first step in ensuring the dental health of your child, but it isn’t something you should worry about for at least 4 months. By then, your child’s baby teeth will have begun to emerge. As soon as this happens, it’s recommended to begin brushing his/her teeth.

According to pediatricians, you don’t need to concern yourself with toothpaste or a toothbrush until your baby has developed several teeth. In the beginning, just moisten a piece of gauze and use this to clean your baby’s teeth.
