How do I know if I'm allergic to something?

Unfortunately when it comes to allergies, we never really know if we are allergic to something until we’ve suffered a reaction. These can range from minor to serious, and in either case should be taken as a warning to avoid contact with whatever it was that caused them in the first place.

Symptoms of mild allergic reaction can include:

  • Itchy eyes
  • Itchy skin
  • Breaking out in hives
  • Sneezing
  • Stuffed up or runny nose

Symptoms of serious allergic reaction can include:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Swollen tongue or face
  • Passing out

If you or someone you know is experiencing the symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, contact a hospital or doctor immediately.
