Menopause typically occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, and is the period in a woman’s life when menstruation ends. Although this is a very natural occurrence, it has the potential of causing hot and cold flashes, mood swings, and either a total or perceptible loss in libido.
One of the signs of approaching menopause includes changes to the menstrual cycle that can include, but aren’t limited to, increased or decreased menstrual flow, and changes in the length of time for menstruation periods.
If you are experiencing menopause and have questions or concerns, set an appointment to visit your gynecologist.
