When receiving home care, it’s important to research not only the quality of the company that will be providing your home health care, but also the quality of the individual employees they hire to carry out that care. Inviting a health aide into your home is no different than inviting a contracted worker or other hired help. Before you do so, it’s always prudent to ask questions about their qualifications.
One element of inquiring into their qualifications consists of asking for references. Although not all health aide workers and home care providers are required to provide references, you are perfectly within your right to ask for them. If the individual or company is not able to deliver these, consider searching for a different health care provider in your area.
