If you are craving authentic Mexican cuisine, then the 3 Margaritas is the place to go.
The first time walking through the doors the aromas of spice and ambiance filled the restaurant. We couldn't wait to be seated by the pleasant smiling hostess.
We ordered Tamales (the true test of an excellent Mexican restaurant) from the friendly waiter, who greeted us as if family or long lost friends. As we waited for our diiner, complimentry homemade chips and salsa were placed on the table, then to my surprise, they also placed a bowl of mushroom pico dillo on the table, which was also complimentry. From just tasting what was offered for free, we could tell our dinner was going to live up to what was hoping for.
Only waiting for 20 minutes, our hot plates of freshly made Tamales were placed in front of us to eat, with a warning the plates were quite hot. Upon this plate of, inviting cuisine, were two Tamales, homemade refried Friojles, and Mexican Rice, along with the dinner a container of warm homemade flour tortillas sat at our table.
The Tamales were tender, just the right amount of Masa (not more masa and less meat), moist and with a small kick of spice, very pallette pleasing. The friojles and Mexican Rice were gourmet quality.
