The red, white, and blue sign on the brick exterior belies the beautifully renovated interior of this bistro-syle restaurant. My husband went for lunch with clients and enjoyed it so much, he took me there for dinner the same day. Although the prices are higher than your average steakhouse, this is NOT an average steakhouse.
The service was very friendly, and the food was outstanding. We started with an unusual appetizer--BBQ Pork "Wings," which were fall-off-the-bone tender in a rich homemade BBQ sauce. When we inquired about them, the chef came out and talked to us about this delectable invention.
Dinner came with a choice of soup or salad, and a choice of starch. DH got the lobster bisque and risotto with his stuffed sole. I got a salad and rice with my grilled scallops. Everything we had was fresh and delicious with generous portions. The vegetables were done perfectly al dente, too. With the large appetizer, we were too full to even look at a dessert menu.
Speaking of menu, Blue Water had several tantalizing entrees to choose from including Grilled Swordfish, Prime Rib, Chicken Saltimboca, and Lamb Osso Bucco. There are even a few gluten free offerings on the menu, as well.
We are looking forward to going back for these other entrees and soon. Don't let the sign out front fool you. Go enjoy an evening of fine food and service that's worth every penny!
