There have been many times that myself, my mother or father have ordered from Brother Joes only to experience the most rude treatment by the owners brother via phone.
This brings us to Christmas Eve. My father who has MS eats at Brother Joes at least 3 times a week since it is convenient and he enjoys the owner Joe. He ended up in the hospital this morning. Here we are Christmas Eve with all family plans/dinner cancelled due to his hospitalization, and we decide to order Brother Joes to feed family that's here. We called to the RUDE brother of Joe answering the phone & asking what the order is. I start placing the order and we are told that they don't do half subs because it is Christmas (although we have NEVER been told they don't do halfs) so whatever, it's been a long day, we'll take a whole sub. I continue the order when almost done he says fine you can pick it up in 15. I explain there is one more, he says fine what is it. I tell him, and it is a sub right off their menu, he says they don't serve that and I ask if it the menu has changed. He replies that it is Christmas Eve and he can make what he wants and what he doesn't. I ask my mom what she wants in place of that and he says he doesn't have time for this and HANGS UP. My mother at this point calls back and explains to the new person that answered the phone what happened, he apologizes and takes her order. 5 subs, 15 minutes later, we drive over to pick it up, and they say they didn't make the order because they are closing?! The old guy says he hung up because he didn't want to make it and I should have took the hint. The kid who answered the second time we called, again apologizes and says he was going to make it but the Brother of Joe said no way, they were leaving. If you wanted to close why take the order the first time?? Why take the order the SECOND time?
Brother Joe's doesn't deserve the business if this is how they treat customers.
