We celebrated my sister and brother-in-law's wedding anniversary at Helga's. We could NOT have picked a better restaurant. We were greeted like we were old friends. I mentioned to the hostess we were celebrating an anniversary, and right after we were seated, two glasses of champagne arrived for the couple. I'll cut to the chase: the menu is delightfully varied, something for everyone. I had the Bratwurst entree, which is served with the best sauerkraut ever, and smashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted just like I remember them in Germany, so delicious. The others ordered Jaeger Schnitzel, and Spätzle. The food melted in our mouths. It was as if Mom or Oma cooked for us. We loved the desserts and coffee. I had the rhubarb-strawberry cobbler with icecream, the others: apple streusel, all baked by Helga. Mouth-watering good. Go there and see for yourself.
