Kalamata Family Restaurant

This place keeps me coming back for more! Between the wide variety of greek classics and american favorites the only down side of this place is that it takes forever to decide! I had the open chicken souvlaki my first time there and all i can say is you have to try it, the chicken was cooked perfectly (and I'm picky). The waitstaff had its hands full with a full dining room but still managed to be prompt with service and friendly on top of it all. i was back two days later and was just as satisfied with a classic BLT. I don't think you can really go wrong with this place.

I was really happy to hear about a greek place in lockport. We went in with full intentions of getting us all kinds a greek food but we changed our minds when we walked in and saw the size of the fish. they did a real nice job fixing up the place it def is greek from the pics hanging to the waitress who had to be straight from greece with long black hair and a cute smile lol. Thats not the only reason to stop in tho the fish on friday was huge and all the sides were awesome. we plan to def stop in another day for some greek but if its friday yall should def get some fish

We went to Kalamata the very first day it opened and my Husband and I have been back 3 times since then! It was very busy even the first day of opening and although things were hectic, as to be expected the first week a business opens the service was wonderful and our meals were outstanding! The staff was very friendly and got to us immediately! The owner was even out and about socializing with the customers, a quick break from cooking all our food! It is wonderful to have a Greek restaurant in our area, yet alone one with daily homemade specials and a family like atmosphere! We will definately be back!! Good luck!

We went there for lunch. Perhaps it was an off-day for the server, but she forgot our table after taking our order. By the time the food finally arrived - we had to flag down our server - we noticed other tables that had arrived after us and were already finished and paying and leaving. Food was all right, not quite up to Athena's in Tonawanda and not something I'd wait the better part of an hour for again. Otherwise the atmosphere was nice and the hostess at least was friendly and helpful.
