      I have been going to this vet for close to 10 years and I normally always get excellent service. Now, sadly, I am in the market for another vet due to the shockingly disrespectful way I was treated today. Anyway, my cat was bleeding today and I received totally rude, incompetent, and condescending treatment by the receptionist. First, telling me to make an appointment even though I told her my cat was BLEEDING. `Then telling me that they don't accept emergency clients, which they DO. I have used it once or twice before. Then she tries to look-up my name. I SPELL it for her at least 5 times. She tells me my name is not in the computer, I tell her it is, I spell it for her. This exchange goes back and forth a number of times all the while with her tone being very rude. She hangs up on me. I call back. I ask to speak to the doctor since he knows me and knows that I am a client. He is busy and will call me back. Then, surprise surprise, she can find my name but she tells me they will not take an emergency case and I will have to take my cat somewhere else. I tell her that her behavior has been dismissive and rude throughout entire conversation and she hangs up on me again. The doctor calls me back and his tone is totally different. He is not dismissive and rude and tells me to bring my cat in for emergency care. At the office, he says to bring her back in 3 weeks for follow-up, but I hope she is better because I don't want to set foot inside that office again. It is a shame because I really like is Dr. Vyfhuis. But, he really needs to hire new staff. Someone who is not condescending, disrespectful, and off-putting to customers.
