Diagnostic tests demonstrate that the monitoring functions of the control devices function properly - in the case of a defect for example. For this purpose we include tests with excess voltage and low voltage and start impulses of the onboard circuit network. For electrical diagnostics we perform short circuit tests. In this situation the electrical inputs and outputs are interrupted or interconnected to one another. We design and assemble the actual controllable relay boxes required. Tests of the coding functions are likewise performed using diagnostics services. The purpose of these tests is not only to examine the successful completion of the coding procedure along with the successful switching of the features in question. We have developed efficient test cases that examine these aspects automatically with minimal effort. For the environmental tests we subject the control devices to climate stresses in combination with 3-D shakers if required.
