Sutter Trailer Sales, LLC

I recently purchased a Big Tex trailer from Sutter Trailer Sales and have been extreamly happy with the product and service provided. Mark helped me find exactly what I needed and gave me a great deal. I can not recommend this place more!

I purchased a trailer from this place and the staff is typically polite and helpful. I took possession of the trailer as they were closing one day and I was driving back home. It didn't feel like the ball was tight when pulling the trailer because it would bang when either accelerating or stopping. It was my first time driving the trailer so I didn't think much of it, but two days later the trailer fell off while pulling a horse. Thankfully I wasn't driving very fast and the horse was ok. I called Sutter to discuss this as everything was reported in good condition when I bought it. They said a lady had driven it from pretty far away and didn't have any problems. I said I would take it to a local place to see if the coupler was bad as I live several hours from Sutter Trailer Sales. The local place replaced the coupler for about $200. When I called Sutter to talk about this, the manager said I should've just gotten a coupler repair kit for about $20. I requested a check for $20 for that, as I felt it was not honest to claim this trailer was in good condition when the coupler, probably the most important thing on the trailer other than the tires, was broken prior to purchase. I was willing to lose the $180 because as this point it was about principal. Several months later I have not received anything from Sutter. I think you find out more about companies during adversity, and unfortunately I am very disappointed in my experience. Learn from my situation and purchase a trailer somewhere else!
