Having been in business for myself for a number of years, I always heard the "Bad & the Ugly" about my competitors from the public who would come into my establishment...
...and usually not the"Good".
I w/i the last year switched my dental care from a local dentist whom I've had for several years after he had told me I needed a root canal and crown and it would cost me $5000. One tooth...WOW... $5,000.00!!! I about fell out of his chair.
I decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to Tompkins Dental. Their quote was much, much less and so I decided to try them. Now, I do know there are a number of dentists practicing out of their clinic and I really can only comment on what treatment I received from the main dentist, Dr. Singh.
He was very professional and I feel that the quality of care was on a par with or better than any dentist I've had over my lifetime (4). I've since had some other teeth repaired by Dr. Singh and am completely satisfied.
If you don't like the multi chair setting they have at the Ithaca locale and don't mind traveling to Cortland...Dr. Singh has a practice there (Elite Dental) and it's a smaller more comfortable setting.
So...There's "The Good" and I do plan on continuing my care w/Dr. Singh. I think the cost is reasonable and the care quite good.
