Blockages inside water pipes or sewer lines can lead to contaminated water or blocked drains. One of the solutions for homeowners is hiring hydro jet plumbing services. According to the narrator in the video, while traditional mechanical cleaning effectively eliminates residential blockages, it's less helpful in removing grease, large blockages, and sludge which are the leading causes of blockages in commercial and industrial drains and pipes.
These blockages can slow down business processes, so how does hydro jetting combat them?
According to the narrator, hydro jetting eliminates grease differently. In hydro jetting, a probing nozzle is connected to a high-pressure hose which is guided into a pipe. The operator increases water pressure to blast through the grease and sludge, allowing water to flow again.
Next, the operator attaches a cleaning head to the high-pressure hose. The cleaning head comprises jets aiming in all directions for 360-degree coverage. The benefit of hydro jetting is that it can liquefy grease and cut through tree roots in the pipe, leaving the line clean.
The water used to blast through grease and roots has a pressure of up to 4,000 PSI with varying heads to eliminate all types of blockages. Hydro jetting can unblock pipes between one and a half inches and eight inches.
