1. Surface Preparation
When you clean the entire floor, you must vacuum or sweep the place to ensure that it’s dust and debris free. If there are chips, cracks, or other damages, then you need to fix them right away. Furthermore, one must use a primer as part of the preparation.
2. Mixing
In mixing, you have to open the hardener and base components. Mix the components before you add them together in a larger container.
3. Coating Application
When you apply the coating on the epoxy floor, you must read the instructions and follow them thoroughly. In the garage, for instance, only one person can apply the epoxy.
4. Tool Cleaning
It's highly recommended to clean the tools using hot soapy water. However, you should discard the brushes and roller heads.
5. Second Coating Application
You must allow at least 12 hours, not more than forty-eight hours, to dry the coats. And though the floor will be touch dry, it would take a few days to cure it.
