Construction meters are the only way you can hook up to a fire hydrant and fill up your tank quickly. It's usually illegal to do so without one.

The benefit is that you'll be able to use the local fire hydrant services and not have to transport so much water between one place or another. There'll normally be a fire hydrant near the client, and you can use that if you know how to work the meter correctly.

Most meters weigh between 30 and 50 pounds. They come with a front that hooks to the fire hydrant and backflow prevention valves. You're going to need those if you're filling up directly from the bottom of the tank. That way, there's no chance that the water will go back and contaminate the main water source.
