You need to protect four main areas where pests can enter from. These are the interior and exterior perimeters of your house, the garage, cracks and crevices, and the yard. To protect the perimeters, use Ortho Home Defense which contains bifenthrin. It lasts longer indoors, so you'll need to apply it more frequently on the outside perimeter. Apply it under doors, windowsills, under the bathroom and kitchen cabinets, and corners. For cracks and crevices, use diatomaceous earth. This will prevent insects and other pests from entering your home. It also kills any pests in the cracks, thus preventing reproduction. For garages, use glue boards and Tomcats to control pest activity. For your yard, use a lawn insect killer, such as Amdro Quick Kill. Whatever pest control substance you use, ensure you apply it evenly and at every possible entry point to achieve thorough pest control.
