Watch this video to understand the process of a metal recycling company. Metal recycling is a vital part of our world today. It is a way of protecting our environment through proper waste disposal and conservation of natural mineral resources.
You may wonder how the process works.
The metals are collected as waste items and then taken to the metal recycling company from anywhere. They can be; fridges and other components which are sorted at the factory. After sorting, the items are shredded to create small pieces of scrap metal and then taken to the furnace to melt. Nitrogen is added at the shredding stage to prevent explosions.
The first part of shredding involves pounding with hammers, while the next step uses sharp blades to cut tiny fragments. The shredded metal is then dried. The shredded materials are magnetically separated for metallic components. The metal then goes through the furnace, where it is melted at a high temperature and then solidified in a cooling chamber before being turned into sheets and compacted blocks in a process called baling. The resultant metal is used for making new products. That is how the recycling process works and ensures that there is no wastage and the environment is conserved.
