Join us on this walk-through of the creation of some custom signage for The Golf Garage. The maker begins with 1/4" MDF (medium-density fiberboard, an engineered wood product) and a computer-generated design that features the company logo. Having a laser cutter on hand enabled him to create the custom design and transfer it onto the wood through a series of precision cuts.
Once the details were cut in, he carefully prepared the wood with spray-on primer and sanded it for a smooth finish. This priming and sanding step was helpful for achieving a smooth, professional-looking finish.
The maker created this sign with a custom look and bold colors. To achieve the finished look he began with flat white and black spray paint followed by a glossy green and grey top coat. This technique created a crisp, professional look with a pop of color thanks to the bright green. Once each piece was painted, the maker carefully bonded each individual element back together with strong glue.
The result of this careful process is a sign that really pops. This custom signage for the Golf Garage was the result of lots of attention to small details along the way.
