Ductless mini-split AC installations operate like the traditional central AC. However, they don't have ducts. Watch this video to learn how to install a ductless mini split AC.
The indoor segment blows warm air from a home or commercial building through cold evaporator coils. The refrigerant in the coils absorbs the warmth from the air, dumping it into the external unit.
The indoor section in a traditional split system AC installation is located in the closet or attic. Ducts transport warm air from the home to the centralized location where it's cooled before it's returned to the home through more ducts. The small indoor segment in a mini-split ductless AC installation system is located in a room that requires cooling.
With the indoor segment inside the room, ducts are not necessary. The indoor segment absorbs warm air from the room in exchange for cold air. Ductless AC installations can also cool an entire home. Different indoor appliances can link to one external unit to offer air conditioning to the whole home. Ductless installations have various advantages, such as:
•They offer better energy efficiency
•They can cool and heat
•They are easy to install
•Feature inbuilt zoning.
