See this video to learn how oil heat boilers work. Although not common, many households still depend on heating oil service companies to warm their houses. Oil heat boilers burn diesel fuel to produce heat.
This system comprises many components that work harmoniously, like pumps, tanks, controllers, thermostats, filters, valves, sensors, gauges, igniters, and transformers.
Some of the main parts of a home's oil heat system include the oil tank, filter, fuel pump, thermostat, and combustion chamber. The oil tank stores oil for the boiler and serves as a reservoir for used oil that requires reheating. As the oil flows from the tank to the heating system, the filter removes debris and sediments while the valves regulate oil and airflow. Also, a fuel pump controls the flow of oil to the heating system from the tank.
The combustion chamber is where oil is heated, and water is warmed before being circulated to the system using a circulation pump. On the other hand, the thermostat helps regulate the temperature and triggers the boiler system to activate when it is not normal. If a thermostat or any component fails to function, one should call a heating oil service professional to repair it.
