The repair mortar can be applied in several ways. The first option is to use a trowel to apply the mortar directly onto the damaged area. In this case, the repair mortar must be allowed to dry completely before applying another layer. The second option is to mix the repair mortar into a small amount of water and then use a brush to apply the mixture to the damaged area. After allowing the mortar to dry, additional layers may be added as required. If you decide to undertake brick restoration, you should always check the condition of the surrounding bricks before doing so. If they are cracked or crumbling, you should take care to avoid damaging them further by removing them from their current position.
