The following fertility testing procedures are carried out:
1. Checking the ovarian reserves.
The number of eggs produced diminishes as a woman gets older. Blood tests (to check the follicle-stimulating hormone) and ultrasounds are carried out to check the quantity and quality of the eggs.
2. Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) testing
Dye is inserted through the cervix and is used to check for any blockages in the fallopian tube. An x-ray will show whether the fallopian tubes are blocked or not.
3. Ovulation testing
This is done by blood tests or ultrasounds. This is to confirm she is ovulating and to time the ovulation as well.
4. Saline Hysterosonogram
This is used to check for fibroids, polyps, and other abnormalities in the uterus.
