Here's what you should know regarding the differences between the two.
A ceramic coating is a clear liquid applied to your car's surface. You need to spray them onto the entire vehicle. A paint protection film (PPF) is a transparent plastic sheet that adheres to your vehicle's exterior surfaces through pressure or heat bonding. Once applied, PPF protects against rock chips, stone chips, bug guts, bird droppings, and other harsh contaminants that would otherwise damage your paint job. Applying PPF takes a few minutes, but you'll need to wash your car before applying the product directly onto the surfaces you want to be covered, usually the hood and trunk lid.
PPF is easier to maintain because it requires less time and effort than ceramic coating. You can also remove the PPF at any time if you want to change the color or style of your car, but ceramic coating requires repainting after removal.
