How to Verify Your Roofers Are Licensed and Insured Before Hiring

And yet, not all states require roofers to have a license or insurance to cover accidents and other mishaps. If you want a roofing project completed safely and to your satisfaction, you will want to make sure that any roofers you hire are licensed and insured. Fortunately, it's not hard to find out of a roofer actually has a license or insurance. Just about any reputable roofing contractor will provide their credentials and proof of insurance if asked, so be sure to bring it up when you are interviewing any potential roofers for your home renovation. You can also look on Google or ask any of a roofer's previous clients to find proof of their licensure as well. In any event, make sure that any roofers you hire are licensed. You can't take any chances.
