So you bought a ductless mini split system and are looking for AC installers in your place. Installing an AC is so easy with a mini-split system. Here's what AC installers do and what you need to know.
1. Prepare all the materials and tools needed. You will need these:
- Wall brackets
- Mini split system
- Condenser pad
- Line set cover kit
2. Proceed with installing the mounting bracket. You only have to mount it inside the evaporator, away from the direct sunlight. Also, ensure that the area is free of wires, ducts, and pipes that could interfere with making the hole.
3. You may know to drill the pilot hole and ensure that the line set hole should slope slightly downward. Begin the drilling from inside to outside. Make sure there's no trim outside.
4. Cut with the hole saw from the inside. Move any insulation and check the wall cavity for possible obstruction. Finish it by drilling from the outside.
5. Run the line set by uncoiling the line from the back of the evaporator. Install the evaporator and the condenser right away before connecting the refrigerant lines.
6. Finally, you may cover the line set and seal the hole. You may turn on the AC already and see how it works.
